Rubix, ASOT, and POP

Hello from ayu. Spring is in full force in Cali right now which means time for some trance of course, hehe.

Here’s an update from our friend Rubix. It’s called Disco Electronique. I absolutely dig this track; I love the contrast of the sick electro noise with the mellow melody… if you like it it’s available on iTunes and Beatport.

Rubix is a producer and DJ from the Netherlands, who has made an appearance on elecTONIC before (shoutout to Minh who made that post!). His stuff falls in the realm of House and Nu Disco, and it’s played by guys like A-trak, Laidback Luke, FakeBlood. All I can say is that Rubix is definitely very fresh, especially for us electronic music fans in the States!

Have a listen to his latest production, the Rubix Gypsy House (!) remix of Bart B more’s “Romane”.

If anyone follows the weekly trance radio shows they might be noticing some particularly “intense” trance songs. I don’t mean a hard hitting bass drum, but rather synths that pierce you and make you feel really tingly inside… I want to share a recent favorite of mine, upcoming producer Ashley Wallbridge.

This was the song that got me into Ashley Wallbridge originally.

Dutch House ?

Ever heard of Rubix ?. This amazing guy comes from the Netherlands and is backed up by none other than Laidback Luke himself. Then everyone would think that he would produce Dutch House like Laidback Luke or Chuckie. But no,  Rubix‘s music ranges from Disco-House to Electro.  Check it for yourself:
